I need to route column header click event to functionality that implements "three tier column sorting" in a grid. Please site example for the same.

The CExtGridWnd, CExtTreeGridWnd and CExtReportGridWnd grid controls support column sorting and sort arrows by clicking header cells. You can see how this works in the SimpleGrids and ReportGrid sample applications. Please explain us what is three tier column sorting?
